World In Flames solo odyssey

 Italy places mechanised corps in Naples and Rome and a weak infantry corps in Milan. A good flak battery also gets placed in Rome and an antique battleship is repaired in Taranto. The Commonwealth deploys a variety of land, sea and air units including a battleship, an escort anti submarine aircraft carrier, a Croatian mechanised corps in Zagreb and a fighter in Sydney and 10 Offensive Points. Hitler puts new fighters in Berlin, Vienna and Stettin. Land units are placed near Stettin and in or around Vienna. Times are desperate so Hitler deploys two obsolete biplane fighters and one poor quality medium bomber around Vienna and Czechoslovakia. France mobilises all its militia and deploys two engineers to help with Germany and Italy. The Japanese place a mechanised division, a sub and 5 Offensive points. The USSR gains 20 Offensive points.  The Commonwealth launches ships including a battleship and produces in Calcutta a naval aircraft of US origin that will be used in the ground attack role. Italy deploys a motorised infantry corp, an excellent fighter and a good medium bomber. Hitler deploys a variety of units -mostly infantry - heavily in the Eastern Front. but some including a panzer corps returning from being blitzed in west Germany. He puts the new fighter unit in the last Ruhr factory city in German hands as there is only one other fighter in the Western Front. Japan deploys a good fighter and excellent naval aircraft (they are quicker to produce than new carriers with aircraft) and an anti-submarine escort vessel. China has a Communist mechanised corps placed in the mountains west of Sian and Lanchow militia.  The US has its usual plethora of units to place on the map and dismay the Axis. The road near Rangoon is completed. This allows the Japanese in Burma to  be more easily supplied instead of relying on convoys to Rangoon or from China. Mistakes section again. The US in particular and Allies in general do not have enough production capacity in World in Flames. Someone said in 1942 the US should have 200 build points a turn in 1942 (they had 59 in my game). I should have allowed the US free shipyards  (or purchased them early on for 1 build point only) which allows them one build point extra Turn so long as i spend one build point in them. There are one for carriers, two for surface ships and one for convoys/ transports/ amphibians. I'm going to say they did get them early. To compensate for missed build points I'm going to add an extra cruiser for each  of the cruisers at the same point in the production circle and similarly 2 extra convoy points for the 2 convoy points at their points in the production circle. I've missed out on probably 8 build points...

 Japan launches 4 light carriers with rubbish planes.  The powerful Kwantung motorised infantry forms in Manchuria. The Allies do not have many units arriving on the board apart from Commonwealth and American planes  (the US has 3 fighters and a medium bomber, the Commonwealth has a Spitfire). Hitler gets to deploys his SS tank army gets to redeploy in West Poland. His new infantry is split between east and west fronts but his two new fighters go to the Ruhr on the West.  The Italians deploy an Alpini  mountain troops, a powerful infantry guards corps plus a fighter near the border with the Alps. Hitler scraps an old Dornier ground attack plane to provide 1 Build point for later - the Germans have given up on the idea of naval invasions.  The Allies win initiative.
