Denmark Falls

 The Axis won initiative. Snow weather was rolled for Europe but Fine for South China. The Italian bombers moved to Rhodes closer to potential targets in the East Mediterranean. The Germans toyed with the idea of a naval move and moving their navy into the North Sea to sweep the mines that will deny them the Swedish resources but were intimidated by the size of the Home Fleet and will wait for worse weather. Instead they used a land move and  declared on Denmark who were surprised that an aggressive militaristic regime acted aggressively. Fast moving infantry units to overrun Danish ports whilst artillery and a mountain corps (that avoids the penality for attacking in the snow) took Copenhagen. A navy vessel and some convoys and tankers escaped to Newcastle. The Japanese took advantage of the good weather to destroy a Chinese nationalist unit. 

The   United States was disturbed by this naked aggresion and an entry chit added to The Germany/ Italy Entry pool. I forgot to add an entry chit for Poland so added that now. 

In the Allied Impulse the CW railed some infantry units to the south coast to protect againts invasion. and started moving one of the S African territorial units to north east Africa.  The Home Fleet apart from the carriers moved into the North Sea. France railed units to the Belgian frontier. The US moved MacArthur in a transport to the Pacific.

The next impulse rolled terrible weather - Blizzard in Arctic and North Temperate. The Germans took a Naval impulse and moved alomst the entire KriegsMarine into the North Sea hoping bad wether will help it evade the Home Fleet to allow the Swedish resources to get to Germany. The Home Fleet only just failed to find them because of the blizzard conditions. The other Axis passed to increase the odds this would be the last impulse and succeeded in ending the Turn. The Axis iniative reduced to +1. I

In the return to base phase MacArthur moved to San Francisco. The KriegsMarine had to stay at sea to protect the minesweepers and will hope to avoid the Home Fleet next turn. The US decided to draw a chit for Japan, got a 3 and allowed China to buy planes. The French were very unlucky and Germany placed a partisan in South Vietnam. In the Production phase Germany continued to build a synthetic oil plant and Japan began its own synthetic oil plant. China now allowed to buy planes started training a pilot and building a modern F36. Commonwealth built an amphibious ship and Territorials for Kenya and for India. The Soviet Union built up a mechanised and the first of what will be many militia units.

New Game - Masters of the Air Turn 1

 I'm going to start a new game using the "sandbox" approach to reflect the US and Commonwealth (CW) bombing offensive on Germany from July 1943.  It will be mostly fighters and bombers (4 engined bombers plus mosquitos and wellingtons for the RAF) on the map but also a US and CW HQ in East Anglia to allow multiple basing of units on a hex. More Summer horrors for Germany

The road near Rangoon is completed. This allows the Japanese in Burma to  be more easily supplied instead of relying on convoys to Rangoon or from China. Mistakes section again. The US in particular and Allies in general do not have enough production capacity in World in Flames. Someone said in 1942 the US should have 200 build points a turn in 1942 (they had 59 in my game). I should have allowed the US free shipyards  (or purchased them early on for 1 build point only) which allows them one build point extra Turn so long as i spend one build point in them. There are one for carriers, two for surface ships and one for convoys/ transports/ amphibians. I'm going to say they did get them early. To compensate for missed build points I'm going to add an extra cruiser for each  of the cruisers at the same point in the production circle and similarly 2 extra convoy points for the 2 convoy points at their points in the production circle. I've missed out on probably 8 build points f
